In 1983 a band formed in LA (where else?) called Lizzy Borden. They were featured in Decline of Western Civilization Part 2, and had a string of pseudo-hits in the late 80′s. Somehow they managed to miss the last 20 years, and released a new album. Moreover, they managed to con someone into making a video. Enjoy the timewarp.
Wow. I can feel myself getting dumber. If you actually watch this to the end, you see a public service announcement. Not kidding. I like the part during the bridge where the guitarist kicks over the plastic lawn chair.
When the guitarist has an axe like that one, you know you’re in for some serious metal. Metal’s metal. For metalheads. And that drummer, with his drumstick twirling…damn. That’s so metal.
Seriously, what happened? Did some record company exec forget WHY they hadn’t made anything for like 20 years? Apart from the fact that the drummer at least has the balls to have a real mohawk (not some hair-do he can fix for the office on Monday), that was just…I don’t even know…silly? Bad? Pointless?
